Our L*Space team is always on the lookout for a great cause, and we recently happened upon one we LOVE.  It’s called The Girl Effect and it’s all about changing the world by helping girls.  You see, by educating a girl, you greatly reduce the chances of her getting stuck in a cycle of poverty: being married off as a very young teen; pregnant, illiterate, vulnerable to HIV. As The Girl Effect puts it, “Adolescent girls are capable of raising the standard of living in the developing world. Girls are the most likely agents of change, but they are often invisible to their societies and to our media. When everyone –– girls, parents, teachers, executives, artists, hairdressers, forest rangers, rock stars, presidents, investors, advertisers, skateboarders, truckers, cowboys, organizations, chefs, teenagers –– knows about the Girl Effect, then real change can happen. This site is just the beginning. The end is nothing less than ending poverty.” Did we mention their video is beyond fantastic?  Check it out: www.girleffect.org
