We’re fans of Surfer magazine and love their clean, minimal, superb design. Pure genius, really. We dug back into their archives and found this gem from 1964 –– when the magazine was quarterly, 75 cents a copy, and the number of surfers out there was a fraction of what it is today. We LOVE that a girl was featured on this vintage cover (a taste of things to come). Trend setting then and trend setting now. Check out their stellar archives here.

California girl Samantha Stollenwerck is the brains, beauty and talent behind the new L*SPACE website soundtrack, Dance in the Sun. Samantha wrote the song last summer in both New York City and her home town of Venice, California, inspired by, as she puts it, “the multi-cultural, sexy vibe of hot and humid New York City, and the hole-in-the-wall jazz clubs and mish mash of international sounds.” The song was recorded just steps away from the beach in Venice, California, with a group of her talented musician friends. “The natural beauty of the sea and the sun,” she says, “has always inspired my art, and is the magic that brings freedom to the song.” Dance in the Sun makes us want to do just that. Get the free download here. And HAPPY dancing! xo L*SPACE
