Monica and our Production Manager Jessica recently embarked on a day-trip to the LA Fabric Show and boy did they have a good time! The show's a textile designers dream, and if you LOVE color like we do, it's an amazing source of inspiration. As usual, they came back with fab goodies which made us even more excited for the 2012 collection.

I often wonder if it's possible to be excited about swimwear year-round, year after year? Well, if you work at L*SPACE it sure is!

When we decided to do a blog post about our favorite beach cafes, we didn't expect that we'd all end up choosing darling bungalows that we could easily and happily live in.  Go figure. Our favorites: - Monica loves Zinc Cafe in both her neighborhood (Corona del Mar) and in downtown Laguna; amazing food and equally amazing market. - Heather is a fan of Alta Coffee in Cannery Village, Newport Beach; a hippie cafe with to-die-for bread pudding and house-roasted coffees. - Debby always stops at The Gum Tree in Hermosa Beach (near the pier) when she's in the area.  Great food and a great boutique filled with many temptations. - Kristina's favorite is The Beachcomber; on the sand in a Crystal Cove bungalow; perfection with a view. - Jessica loves Ramos House Cafe, San Juan Capistrano; superb courtyard, superb cuisine, superb Bloody Marys. Bon appetit!

What girl doesn't love jewelry? Perhaps many of you may not know that most of our collection is inspired by Monica's love for a fantastic bauble. Whether it's the jewel itself, a print, or even an eye-catching color-way, I had the chance to  sneak a peek at Monica's "inspiration bowl"  and found out first-hand how the mind of our fearless leader works!

Flip flops have been around since 1500 BC, when the ancient Egyptians made them out of papyrus. They say that murals exist showing pharoahs wearing flip flops (murals = ancient versions of Vogue Magazine, we think). In China and Japan flip flops were made of straw; in India, wood; in Mexico, Africa and many tropical islands, leather.

The design has changed very little over the centuries but one fact remains: they're easy, comfortable and stylish -- and we LOVE them. Above are a few of our favorites. What are yours?

What's not to love? Wear it as a casual top, a ladylike dress, or a cool cover up! Our Lucca Tunic can swing any way you like. The question is: What's you're style?
