We're one month into 2018 and we're already craving a getaway...who's with us?! Warm sunshine, crashing waves, and the thrill of being somewhere new sound like the perfect antidote to the winter blues. See where we're dreaming of heading, and of course, what we'd love to wear while we're there! Grab your passports, ladies, we've got a plane to catch...
1. Miami, Florida
This one's a no-brainer for us. Miami is home to its annual Swim Week, which is near and dear to our hearts. It's an easy destination to get to, but it feels like it's a world away from the States, making it the perfect place to go for a girlfriends' getaway or bachelorette party. Lay out on the beach, visit galleries during the world-famous Art Basel festival, and go shopping at its high-end outdoor malls. And be sure to drink a cafecito (strong Cuban espresso) so you can stay out late at the clubs - they're open until 5 am!
We would rock our Laura One Piece while walking up and down South Beach. It has the perfect throwback feel!
2. Cappadocia, Turkey
Turkey is consistently ranked as one of the top travel destinations in the world, and it's easy to see why. It has a diverse mix of beautiful beach towns and bustling cities. Our hearts are set on Cappadocia. You've probably seen picturesque Cappadocia on your Pinterest feed - think cityscape and valley views studded with dozens of hot air balloons. We'd love to eat the amazing food, see the famous bazaars and artisan trades, and treat ourselves with their decadent hammam spa traditions.
Our Maria Romper is a must for navigating the winding streets of the bazaars.
3. The Maldives
Who doesn't love pristine beaches and crystal clear water? The Maldives are a chain of gorgeous islands in the Indian Ocean. We're dying for a secluded stay in a beach bungalow. We'd fill our days with snorkeling, kayaking, and eating traditional Maldivian food. After all that relaxing, we'd have to make it into town to experience the culture, influenced strongly by neighboring India.
4. Tulum, Mexico
Tulum is another popular & Pinterest-friendly destination in recent years, and it's easy to see why. The beaches are stunning, the food is amazing, and historical experiences (think Mayan ruins) abound. You can spend your time just relaxing in the sand, or adventuring around town. On our list for sure: exploring the cenotes (dreamy groundwater pools). We want to hit Gran Cenote, Dos Ojos Cenote and Cenote Cristal!
Our go-to Tulum outfit is our Paisley Perfect Seaside Romper. This piece will easily transition us from our daytime adventures to our nighttime dinner plans.
What's on your travel checklist? We'd love to hear (and not just because we're always looking for new ideas 😉)!
